While the „Light Fifteen“ and „Big Fifteen“ are the labels of Citroen’s Traction Avant in UK and maybe also other countries, in France the car simply was called „La Traction“ (the front wheel drive) which also can be pronounced as „L’attraction“ – the attraction.
On the other hand, „L’attraction“ is also one of the best addresses to buy spare parts for the gangster limousine. 10 years ago, Juergen Czajkowski and his wife Marion made their long-term 3 decades hobby to become a business.
Formerly established in Northrhine-Westphalia’s Hamm, they moved a couple of years ago to southern Germany, near the French border, in a small town called „Sasbach-Kaiserstuhl“. Sasbach is pretty close to the French borders which makes it easy for Juergen to go for spare parts hunting – you can imagine, the „NOS“, the New Old Stock, is becoming more and more difficult!
In case you’re coming near them, you might want consider a stop-by (please make sure they know you’re coming, Juergen is a pretty busy man – you better call in advance!). And, needless to say, Mr. Czajkowski has an excellent in-depth knowledge and competence about the Traction. Of course, that applies to telephony support as well (you better speak German or French though 😉
